Ходжа Ахмад Аббас

Писал на урду и английском языках. Участвовал в индийском национально-освободительном движении.

В 1969 году был удостоен премии «Падма Шри».

Как писатель прославился дилогией романов «Революция» (1954) и «Мир — моя деревня» (1973).

По киносценариям Аббаса были сняты фильмы «Бродяга» (1955), «Господин 420» (1956). Совместно с советским режиссёром В. М. Прониным поставил фильм «Хождение за три моря» (1958).
